I just bought this vmax for $700. It is a 95 600 vin #8cc013884 and has mountain max on the tunnel. It has 1800 miles.

I am trying to get more info about the sled. Model, specs, what does mountain max mean? I have an older SRV 540 and it has a 121 track and this track looks longer.

Also, it has slp double pipes. What are the performance numbers for this pipe?

Good buy you will be happy compared to the SRV in all aspects. MM back then had a 136" track and rear suspension. Gearing and clutching also differant than the 121" ( More low end torque). You might have a 96 as 95's had a black, blue and yellow sticker? I have a Yamaha Catalog from around then and will check for you. Google your sled for more info

I have been googling the crap put of it. I've posted on two other forums too. You are the first person who knew anything so far. Thanks. I figured it was 136a track. Can't find amy more info. Nt even about the slp pipe. I posted my vin#. Does it tell year like my srv?

It is a 96, not a 95, according to the decals. I have the same sled, but with a stock single pipe exhaust. I bought mine last spring with 4000 miles on it for $500; we don't have enough snow here in Michigan to have ridden it yet. I can't wait!

It also has "Smart carbs" that compensate for altitude and temperature.

Yes and a switch for oxygeninated fuels? Labeled oxy fuel. Or normal I think. Does anybody have a manual? Also, found a set of simmons flexi skis for cheap. Gen 1 with ski doo mounts. Will they fit?

Here is the brochure info: I had to shrink pages if you have reular email I can resend full size. Anyway here you go. I had a 95 VMAX 60 shorty that I bought with Twin PSI pipes from a dealer in WI and blew the engine up 2 times after second rebuild went to a factory pipe and rode for 6000 miles after with 0 hickups. The sled was verry fast with the pipes but both times leaned down after 1 hour of straight trail riding. Drag racing on lakes short runs no problem. Dealer backed it as it was his ice and grass drag sled. Good luck!
