looking at putting electric start on my 1997 MM600 and have a couple of ??? looks like the battery gets mounted on the chaincase? Where is the solenoid for the starter mounted? And is the electrical connections there for the solenoid?

the relay or solenoid attaches to the battery tray. theres two tabs facing rearward and the relay has a rubber sleeve with slots to slide onto the tray tabs.
wires should be there, fuse may not. your looking for a red wire to the fuse and relay and a red w/ white stripe from the relay to the key switch.

Get a service manual for the sled. It has diagrams of everything and you will be glad you did.
I have the wiring schematic for the machine and looked last night found the wires on the schematic but just wanted to know where everything is mounted.

Ive installed a bunch of them, let me know if ya need any help. All proaction sleds are the same with just a few wiring differences. Same wires just different connections. Chris
