I noticed that yamaha says to run BR10ECS plugs for srx 600's. But I read alot of guys are running BR9's. I have BR10's in now and it runs like champ. Is there a reason why people run BR9's?

most had a problem fouling plugs often and used the 9s to correct the problem. if ur not fouling plugs alot i would stay where u are.

10's are good for long lake running, when you get into trail riding they will foul because they are too cold of a plug, so yamaha switched to the 9 heat range.

I use the 10s on my 2002 SRX as I do a lot of long lake runs and trail riding...never fouls and have the added safety of a little colder plug.
