just piped my 700 sx 1998 with PSI pipes. jetted mains to 142.5. running br9es plugs and they are real dry. no oil on them. too lean? anyone running the same jets? oh fuel screw is at 2 3/4

Seems odd that you would have smaller jets in than stock. That is unless you aren't at sea level. Need more info. Maxdlx

OUCH!! way too lean if you are at 0 - 2000'. I ran 142.5's with the stock single pipe. I am now at 150's with CPR/Hauck's. I would not run that sled like that much longer or it might get expensive real quick. Ask here for jetting info for them pipes. Doug

0-3000 feet is what it says. stock was 143.8 and pto was 145. PSI recommended 142.5 for 0-3000 feet, same with maxx perf. and fuel scre changed to 2 3/4

talked to tod he is running the 142.5 with 47.5 pilots with his PSI pipes and his fuel screw is only at 1 1/2. i would think that it would be running reallly lean compared to mine i have the fuel screw a 2 3/4. he said he has rode his for 3000 miles and still no problems.

Yes he called last night and I went to the garage to see what I have been runnning. I did have 45 pilots for a while then changed to 47.5 with no noticable change.

you should be fine though tod 3000 miles and no problems yet. iw ould probably just leave it maybe turn your fuel screw out a little but other then that iw ould leave it. i forgot to ask you on the phone alst night but did you re route your anti freeze line? and did you put heat tape under the hood?

yes my coolant hose is zip tied to the CDI box and also to the tool kit. Makes the tool kit about non usable. I have not been in my tool kit since installing the pipes. I can take pictures for ya or I should have the instructions some place if you do not have any.

Tod

ya i re routed mine and took out the tool box. some people said that they hadnt and i was like wow how did you pull that off.
