Just added triple slp pipes to my 2004 viper s and plugs are white still with 165 mains, 47.5 pilots, needles at #4 and the screws at 1 3/4 turns out. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Air box is stock, and I drilled 1/16th holes in the ducts on the hood shroud for cold air.

ok, so you do have some mods then, what part of the fuel curve is it lean in? did you check the sled by running it around low speed, check plugs.
then run sled at half throttle only for a bit, check plugs
then make wide open throttle runs and check plugs
when you find out which circuit is lean youll then know where you need to focus your attention for making it richer.

ok, will run and test all three, will also start with closed cowling air holes. There new plugs? That matter?
same sled...same pipes and same issue! im moving my needle clip to the bottom...only lean on WOT. let you know if mine gets any better...needles currently in stock position with no shim

Said heck with SLP triples, ran perfect, Huge power, plugs were light tan with ok piston wash jettins at 165mains, 47.5 pilots, and needles at 4th clip, airscrews at 1 7/8. Melting down on the trail is not worth it, Put the bender 4x4 pipe and QST bender silencer back on and hauls the mail just as good, perfect looking plugs with stock jetting and no issuses with leaking tripples! If i want to wrench i will by a ski doo! LOL

tuning a modded engine is not for everyone, and you likely did exactly the right thing by taking them off if your not a tinker with the sled all the time kinda guy. I would suggest you raise the needles just slightly from stock just so you dont have any problems with the crappy gas and the viper cylinder head cooling for the mag cylinder, it runs the hottest. Just run the needles in the 4th groove but put both shims on top of the clip, just slightly richer then stock, cheap trail insurance for no detonation.
I may know someone looking for a set of SLP viper pipes if you want to get rid of them, pm me if so.
