I am new to snowmobiles, i just got a 02 yamaha viper a week ago, i went to move it and when i start it, the light blinks and it doesn't move when i give it gas. any ideas?

well its likely the warning light for low fuel (orange), put gas in it if its at a 1/4 tank light comes on.

does the sled have reverse on it?

is the parking brake lever pointing towards the middle of bars or left over the left hand grip?

its a little light with a square on it, looks like a transmission light.
I don't think it has reverse on it
and the parking break is pointing toward the middle of the bars

Pictures? Does it just free rev or bog like your trying to pull a house down? How high is engine revving? I am not sure what "engagment" should be on your sled.

give it just a bit more gas it will start to move, maybe someone has a clutch kit in it with higher engagement speed. Most stockers dont move till 3800 rpm

you did lift up the cover and check to see it has a belt on it from front clutch to rear clutch?

LOL !! he is to embarassed to come back to TY! thing probably engaged at 4100 lol

guess we just take for granted that the sled doesnt start moving right from idle like a car... kinda scares me when a person doesnt know if they sled they just bought has reverse or not tho
