I need advice on changing the seals (or I guess you could call them O rings) on my power valves, 2002 Viper. It is blowing oil all over the place, and I am assuming it is the seal. Is it as easy as unbolting the housing (4 screws), remove the valve from the cable, and then remove the old seal? Can I remove the seal from the cylinder side of the housing, or do I have to press it out from the other side of the housing? If any one has any other ideas as to what would be making them leak please let me know.

Thanks for any tips

they are pretty easy to do ...but you will have to do as you said an pop the PV and remove the cable from the PV and pop the old seal with a flat screw driver and tap in the new one.

Well, I replaced the seal and that was not the problem. Turns out that the head pipe has two cracks on the top and two cracks on the bottom. Never even thought to look at the exhaust pipe, as I have been riding Yamaha for years and have never seen this happen. Oh well, a trip to the welder should have it fixed in time to ride next week.
