Installed Maximun Performance clutch kit for 98 XTC 600 which included weights, helix and thin head gasket. Not sure what angle helix part of the kit. Noticed a big difference in HP, still seems a little boggy. I am spolied with the triple. Has anyone experienced this? I am thinking of installing reeds and or pipes, silencer. Also I have the stock jets, any sugjestions?
Thank's

I cant be of much use, except to say that I think pipes would be a waste of money. I good friend had a 97 SX600 and all he did was add weight to the primary to get r's down and a bender helix (angle unknown). Out of the box those year Yammi's over-revved. Look on the tech page, but I think you should be around 7800 or so.
With that set up the thing rocked.
What do you mean by boggy? Carbs? Check float levels. It may be too lean. Also, you could richen the needles one step (lower c-clip, raise the needle). What mains are you running?

A lot of sleds are real doggy early in the season. This is cus the air(barometric pressure) is still bad(low). In mid december when things get real crispy you will notice things really perk up. The sled should gain some throttle response & rpm,s will rise. Might have a weak primary spring too?

98 XTC 600 SET UP
CB,
Stock jets, maybe that's the problem. Not sure what is stock. Engages around 3800rpm and tops out around 7800rpm from what I remember. Turk these syptoms have been here all year.

Be sure to check the roller bushings, usually they will wear in one spot. Causing the roller to drag across the weight and wear the profile. Those 600 twins seem to eat rollers like there's no tomorow!
