Bender can on srx

x2 on both replies lol. mainly sound preference. never heard of anyone getting a gain out of one of these things

so then i just put my can on auction on the web and see if there is someone that want more sound and have to much hp :P

I have had a couple friends that have run these on SRX's. One on a '98 SRX600 and one on a '98 SRX700. Both sleds were hard to tell if it lost any. From what I saw they were close to stock, maybe a hair less. They are definitely more aggressive sounding. In both cases though what is interesting is that they have mentioned how easy they start with that silencer on. By that I mean they fire up on the first or second pull, don't seem to need as much choking on a cold motor and don't load up on the bottom end in the warm up stages like they do with the stock silencer.

We tested a stock 700 SRX on our track Dyno with stock exhaust and with the Bender can. Back to back runs multiple times. Never saw more than 1 hp difference at the track!
Lighter and great sound. If your going to run a can this is the one you want.

recently just put a bender can on my srx 700 and i agree it starts a lot easier!

X2 never dyno tested but tested on the track. as far as cans go benders are pretty close to stock performance-wise. worth extra money: not in my opinion but not a loss either. sell it to someone and invest the money into clutching where you'll actually see a difference

I have been running my 2000 SRX with a Bender exhaust can since the sled was new. I love the sound, not loud, just right!!! I also like all the weight the sled lost by removing the stock can. I have a Bender can on both of my 2000 SRXs. They cans were nickel plated but i had both of them ceramic coated. There is a glass packing inside the can which after 13000 miles is still in good shape.

Took mine off,,,,, put stock back on ,,,,, same if not more performance with stock can,,,, with less headaches on my 200 mile rides....... quiet killer.....

was it a bender can you had? becouse the bender almost is the same noice at original. alittle deeper maybe but not irritating :)

When I bought my SX7 it came w/ a Bender on it. Too darn loud & annoying for me. My son took it and put it on his SX6 and the stock, drilled muffler went back on mine. It(the Bender) sounds good as long as I don't have to listen to it constantly. I think the stock drilled muffler sounds better, but then again I'm getting older.

i run a bender on my 00 srx 700. i love the sound. i am planning on going to the dyno in march. i can run both and report back with my findings.

I just took my Bender can off today and put the stock can back on! To load for me and I think the packing was removed buy the last owner.
