My sled tops out over 9,000 rpm.I know this is too high. What is the proper rpms when you have the power? How do I get the revs down so I dont damage the engine?

8300rpm is the sweet spot clutch it so it pulls to 8500 on top

add weight to the clutch weights
97's where made to run the 8ch belt ,which is a softer compound belt ..What are you running on it now? 8ch's are hard to find so youll have to add weight to the flyweights in the primary ,and / or run an 89-L belt! the 8dn belt will make it rev higher!

In the outer part of the weight correct?

Wouldn't he want it to pull 8300 on top and no more, because that is the shift rpm?
