1999 Phazer seat removal? and front shocks?

Bought my wife a 1999 phazer 500 for her first sled and it needs a new seat cover, how do i get the seat off? Is it just the two bolts in the back of the tunnel or something more involved? Also the sled has 3800 miles on it, wondering what front shocks I can put in this? are they rebuildable or is it a complete replacement? I ride cats so trying to figure out this yamaha thing, but overall like the yamaha set up.

Two nuts inside of the back compartment, lift and slide back. Only slide it back a few inches then unplug the tail light wire at the front of the seat. The shocks are not rebuildable. I think any SX style shock will fit the Phazer and would be rebuildable.
