OK..my srx is a dead horse right now lol I have spark, compression but i dont think im gettin fuel?? I rode it all day with no problems and we stopped for an hour and a half and we go to leave its starts up and i go maybe 100 ft and it quits. I started it again and after 5-6 pulls( which is not normal for the sled) and go 50 ft and she quit again and would not start. Im thinking its the fuel pump cause i pull and pull and it wont fire back up. i check the plugs and there not wet. any ideas??

Did you recently get fuel prior to stopping for the 1 1/2 hour break? Fuel pumps dont usually go from fine to wont run with 90 minute rest between. Is it possible there was a lil water in fuel system that froze up? I would start by pulling fuel lines and see where yo have fuel and where you dont.

yes, sounds like frozen fuel pump, you can take hot water and dump it on it and see if it starts up, if so, you have water in gas, or the area by the fuelpump was full of snow dust if riding right behind someone close or alot of powder busting and the water froze in the vent hole.

Off topic but I bought a snow blower 7 years ago for 20 bucks. Guy had recepts off a 300 service @ local shop in july.Come november it wouldnt start. He bought a new one. Brought it home let it thaw overhight and has ben running like a champ ever since!

Pretty easy fix there! Sometimes that what ya gotta do, roll up your sleeves and get a lil dirty. If you had dropped it off at a shop they prolly would have have charged out the wazoo for a couple foot of hose!

isn't it still amazing how many little things can go wrong.Seems to me Yamaha could of spent more time making sure wires and fuel lines were all fool proof with better protection and covers..Seems as these sleds get older there is a lot of rubbing of stuff going on.One place you guys should check is the rad hose going to the water pump .There are 2 lines done around there and mine were rubbing thru the rubber off the motor or mount quite a bit.Could be a big disaster later. So I changed the main line and then put extra protective shields around the hoses where they will rub.Could of been thought about much better I think...
