I was working on my sled today and toped off the coolent and adjusted the bender tranfer rods and took it for a little rip and when I got back I seen coolent driping from the left side exchanger. Now my question is should I take the exchanger off and take it to get it welded or take the hole sled.
Or is there a fix I can do that will work.
My buddy is a tig welder buy trade so I can get it done for a couple beers!!

save yourself some time and do both both of them. Mine were bad in the same spot on both exchangers. Had them both welded and pressure checked ($20). I also cut off the bracket that sticks down flush with the bottom of the exchanger, thats what casued mine to rub through.

Where did it rub on your sled? I havent got a chance to get them off yet but will this weekend.

Right below the rear suspension mounting bolt. The re enforcement place sticks down flush with the side of the exchanger. The exchanger has a small groove in it where sand, salt and whatever else can get in there. It wedges in the small groove and plate, as the sled twist and rocks and flexes the debris slowly eats into the exchanger. Mine didnt leak until i reapaired the suspension and reinstalled it. Both side same exact spot. Sharp drill bit and a good air rivet gun, not to bad of a job.

Ok thanks now I know where to look for the leak! Going to get them off this weekend and see if I should replace them or just weld.
