Not new to carbs and maybe it's just that these have been taken out and put back in so many times that it's no longer there but generally where does Yamaha stamp the main jet # ? Is it normally stamped around the outside of the jet like the pilot or is stamped around the rim of the jet? I only ask because this past weekend i fouled 2 plugs on my left(PTO) side cylinder. By yesterday the left cylinder was running about 200-300 degrees cooler than the right side and the sled had backfired a couple times. I pulled the carbs tonight and looked at the reeds without removing them and they look okay but then again 2-strokes are pretty new to me so if there is something I should be looking for feel free to point it out. I am going to change out the caps for the plugs since I am sure they are long overdue. The only reason I ask where the jet stampings are is that I get the impression from the modification choices that were done to this sled that it was used for drag racing and I want to make sure I've got all the stock replacement parts in there I can. I'm not so much about power as I am reliability. Hope you guys can help out!

top of the jet..use a magnifying glass ,,makes it easier to read
that's what i was afraid of, they are long since gone, i might just pick up a set of jets just to eliminate the possibility they are incorrectly sized.

forgot to mention, compression is solid at 145psi on both cylinders.

good compression.yeah some of the numbers on my jets are getting hard to read also..I use a mega large magnifying glass which helps a liitle more on reading the numbers.
