I have sent 3 to Midwest in the last year. 2 mountain vipers 2500miles and 1 Viper ER 6000 miles. I blame it on poor summer storage. Center cylinder on all three. Jeff does great work!

X2! Havent dealt with them personally but have heard great things from several people. AVOID the guy advertising on craigslist in waters mi. Guy screws up more than he fixes!

just finished viper crank for sale

I just finished another viper crank,it was all re trued as this is looking like a problem, they are twisting on the centers this goes for the srx also, it is all welded including the centers and all rod pins,$350.00.
 
Send it to Jeff @ midwest crank in green bay like others stated. Been dealing with him for years and won't go anywhere else. Just dropped off a polaris crank by him on monday and he has a reasonable turn around time right now.
 
I think a close estimate might be $450 if the crank wheel is bad. It really depends on what parts are required. If the bearing went bad but did not harm the crank wheel then only a rod and bearing may be required. If the journal on the crank is bad then a crank wheel is also required. The labor is only about 150. I believe the crank wheel, rod, and bearing are about 300.
