i bought that kit for my 01 sx-r. just finished her up and need to put the motor back in to see how she runs. if you look they also have one that comes with what you see there plus a winderosa top end gasket kit. its right about $200.

With anything any e bay its a gamble until you open the box. Looked at his ratings. 99.5 with better than 25,000 comments.I would say you dont have to worry about him sending you anything other than whats in the photo. I have heard horror stories about e bay and people receiving broken junk after bidding on new. Only part of it that would concern me is no mention of manufacturer of pistons.

Out of curiosity, How many miles are on the sled and whats wrong that you need to rebuild it?

I have Three new pistons like this, I believe they are spi, would sell for 150 shipped in the us, bought a sled that had been rebuilt but never run, had a cracked heat exchanger so they took it back out and never put the sled back together,

I've installed those in two sleds with good results, same seller too.

The ones I got for a Yamaha were SPI, the ones for a cat that I installed were WPS IIRC

11210mi and like nothing lasts forever its time for a rebuild. compression is low on all cylinders and id be more confident with new pistons and what not before it falls apart ruining my jugs, case, crank, etc

I took mine apart with around the same mileage and found everything to still be within spec. Shit it still had cross hatch in the cylinders. If you take yours apart and measure and find the same results, I would just de glaze and put a set of OEM rings in it and call it a day. Rings are around $20 a set. There are guys running these engines over 20k never been apart. My .02
