94-96 Vmax's and bar risers

Seems like pretty much everyone goes the max 2" and is okay with that. I was born a freak, i am 5'9 and my inseam is 33". I find that stock bars WAY too low for even trying to kneel on the seat let alone stand. I'd really like to do a set of 5" bar risers but it seems as though we are pretty much limited by the fact that brakes are mechanical and require a cable. Has anyone had any luck sourcing longer cables for the brake/throttle/oil?

I've tried searching and pulled up threads which turned up dead ends, I'd really like to see about putting a thread together to throw all of the cumulative mods and info in so it's all in one easy spot to find.

I've even been tempted to see if i can find a bike shop to make me an extended cable but I'd like to get this done for under $200.

Please let me know if you find a solution to go 5inch or so. I am running 2inch and would love to go 5 or six.
 
problem you run into is the size of the ferrule and the attachement method on the carb rack. brake cable is another issue, but your on the right track.

i used to deal with a guy that made cables for about everything until he extended credit to some major vendors that bailed on him.

i have him back in small scale and he may be able to help you out, dont know, but it may be worth a try.
