Is the Engine in Yamaha Sxr 700 2001 the same that is in The venture 700 ?

I thuaght there was a few years that the run the viper style motor with power valves. I could be wrong as I never owned one. Theres basically 2 yamaha tripples. powervalved and the "redhead"

2001 was the last year for the redhead 700 in the Venture. 2002 brought the powervalve in the Venture. Not sure what they did after that.
