Cant stand the lack of snow, been riding the river on my polaris, but cant stand not riding the srx. So bringing the srx out today. Just nervous cause alot of people say they dont do good on water. So ill be the judge of that...

well skips water just fine, just doesnt steer at all on the ice.

The other guys were turning fine, like on a dime.
I couldnt bite at all, with 10 inch brand new carbides.
Made some adjustments and got it a little better, but gona run the carbides on the green wheel and put an edge on them, then i should be good.

98man dont want to sound like a an old bitty but do yourself and all who care about u a favor and stay on the water that is frozen and safe.

My bud used to do this a lot and it works great until you cross a road or two. You'll get the same results with smaller carbide or even hardweld grinded to a point.
Never made much sense to me since my primary purpose for buying carbide is increased longevity. I suggest this because I'd hate to see you grind on pricey 10" skaggs and reduce thier life span when you can get the same glare ice results by starting out with a cheaper bar... provided enough ski pressure is there to begin with and you stay off paved surfaces.
