Friend of mine gave me a Team Secondary for a Yamaha. I am running a stock 02 Viper with Heelclickers red spring 3 grams heel and 3 grams tip in primary and a Yamaha secondary with a 48/40 multiangle 60 wrap on a green spring. Is there a way to convert secondary setup to the Team TS-98 secondary? Team is a roller? Been having a problem with the Yamaha secondary going thru bushings?

anyone?
anyone?
I use a the 3rd generation Team Tied secondary on my SRX. The TS-98 is the first generation design. I have found these clutches to work well on the trail.
On my SRX I had to trim the bulk head lip behind the secondary so the back of the Team secondary would not hit/rub when fully shifted out.
Calibrating one of these can be a challenge and is done by swapping helixs and springs.
You need a special clutch tool from Team to remove and replace springs but the helixs are easy to change.
On a stock SRX initial calibration is a Red/Black spring and a 44 degree helix.
Replacement helixs are available from Team for $100.00+
The TS-98s are the heaviest of the series and first came out @ 98 I think...hence the model #

I like the Team Tied for trail riding, very smooth, seemless shifting and trouble free. These clutches run very cool with no belt slip as well.
If max top speed and or drag raciing is what you are after I have found a properly maintained and set up Yamaha secondary is about as good as it gets.
