does anyone on here have pics of the install of the bender adjustable torque link for the viper looks like alot nicer piece than the stock single piece yammys any pics would be helpful thanks guys

i just put 2 pics of the bender link in a viper in one of the threads above. you have to remove your secondary clutch your air box and your carbs to open up enough space to do the install and even then it is still tight but doable.

cool

awesome cause the directions say you gotta take off the primary ,and i REALLY DONT WANNA DO THAT THANKS A MILLION MAN youv'e had good luck with this as in cluthes not moving around anymore

yes. holds the motor true. i dont know why the directions would tell ya to remove the primary. but the secondary yes. huh. when i got mine it actually didnt even come with directions lol.

wait. i just took a second look you got me thinkin.... you prolay will have to remove the primary. there is one bolt you may not be able to install if you dont. you might be able to weasel it in there tho. idk.

puller

yeah except i dont have one years ago on a vmax i bought one from parts unlimited WHAT A PIECE OF SHIT!!!!!!! in fact if it has that brand name on it DONT BUY IT ITS ALL CHINNESE STEEL BENT INTO A PRETZEL. yEAH DIRECTIONS SAY REMOVE PRIMARY SO I DONT KNOW I'LL HAVE TO TAKE A LOOK. i THINK I ENDED UP PAYING LIKE 75.00$ FOR THAT THAT YPZ PULLER DONT KNOW WHAT THIS ONE WILL BE GOT EXCITED THERE FR A MIN THINKIN I DIDN;T HAVE TO PULL IT. Well find out tommorow i guess :2strokes:

you might be able to get it without removing the primary. thats a mabey... but the bolt that would hinder you is the bolt that attaches the adjustable link to the bracket that gets mounted on the motor itself it has to go in from the clutch side. the back of the primary has indents if you lined one of the indents up with the hole the bolt has to slide through you might have just enough space to squeeze it in there. and use a allen key to tighten it. by looking at it. it looks like it may be possible. no guarrentees but worth a shot anyway. i actually have a bender primary clutch puller. its been holding up good so far and i abuse the crap out of it with my ingersoll impact lol. ive heard good things about the oem yamaha pullers as well. if ya need to go out and buy one. that is.

in the end all i had to do was flip the bracket around so the bolt enterred from the engine side instead of clutch side love the large companies couldn't do it with out em but come on common sense here. Course if you had the electric start model you would have to remove the primary any way much easier than thought pass the word on so guys arent buyying pullers for no reason ;)!

yeah. never thought of that. when i did mine i also piped it and was messing with cluthing quite a bit and having a puller just made my life easier for what i was doing, so when i installed it.. it wasnt something i really thought about at the time. good to know tho ;)!
