Here is another first timer. Cleaned and adjusted them this weekend. Followed the 2.5mm wrench method I'm just double checking I did this right.
-Marked servo moter when Idling below 900RPM
-Loosened adjustment nuts
-Loosened 2 bolts on power valve and adjusted the valves back onto the 2.5mm wrenches while servo moter was lined up W/ the marks I made.
-Tightened all bolts.
I did notice that my adjustment went from almost all the way screwed in to almost all the way out. I did pull an exhaust manifold to check, and w/ the lines lined up on the servo motor the powervalve is flush W/ the exhaust port. So is this correct it was just a big change in adjustment on the powervalves thats got me scratching my head. I did have a shop supposivly adjust them last year and mabe they did it wrong?
-Also I noticed at wot on the lake the temp light started flashing. I wasen't able to count the flashes. This wasent hapening last year

Does it ran out any better than before? Did you clean/inspect them? Assuming they did it right I would suspect they may be starting to pull threw and deserve a better look. Assuming they did it wrong you should have noticed a bit more umph in the top end. That flashing light would be my first concern. You need to get a count on the flashes and what ever the sequence was. You can find the "fault codes" under miscelanous in tech section.

If the light started after the pv cleaning/adjust at WOT its likely the PV code. If you went from all the way screwed in to way out i would guess they are a bit tight. Does the PV studder a bit when you start it. May be hard to tell without e start. Try to loosen them just a 1/8 or 1//4 of a turn and see what happens. The cables will stretch over time or it could be a pull through now as devil said. Give them another good check over.

I should have added there was a fresh rebuild W/ brand new cables last year and I sent out all my powervalves out to mrpowervalve to have his s/s ends put in. So no pull threw and new cable and a fresh cleaning just before I adjusted them. When idiling i did not notice the servo motor jittering and when I brought the rpm up it moved smooth and did not notice any jittering.

You should loosen the cables BEFORE idling down below 900rpms. That's to relieve pressure so that if they were previously incorrect, they can open all the way.

Ok I got ya. When I go back up I will loosen all the way then let it idle and mark. That may have what I did wrong and they may be to tight. Thanks guys.

Dont HAVE to loosen cables before idleing below 900. I usually do but thats the process I go threw. When you idle down if servo is twitching/jittering/ giving back then you have to loosen prior to marking to let servo move to full open position. The jit/twitch/GBis a sign of too tight and some guys dont back cables off just to see if they are already to tight or this is also a sign theres one or more gooped in place with oil/carbon deposits. Being new cables could explain range of adjustment or they were wrong to begin with. I would still be primarily concerned with the light flashing/sequence. At they end of the day it will only cost you some time to double check PV adjustment. Not like we all have a foot of snow to go ruin!

Ok, got back up north to solve my problem. It was in fact the powervalves were to tight. When I didn't mark the servo motor w/ the adj. screws all the way out it gave me the wrong position to set it at and my mark was way off. So now they are adjusted right and no flashing light. Thanks
