Trying to find out what kind of fuel line to use, when replacing the fuel and oil lines in my SX700. As time goes by the lines get harder, less flexible. I have had to resort to using a heat gun, to heat up the ends to remove and install them on the carb spigots. I got some "blue transparent line" from a local dealer and am going to use that, but it has been difficult to get proper info on what kind of fuel line material is best to use in vehicles that run in very cold temps.

i used some 3/16"-4.8m.m. "fuel-pcv-eec" line that i got at n.a.p.a. i think, for fuel line. a little bigger in o.d. than stock - 7/16" spring clamps from hardware store made a nice tight fit. have 2 squeeze clamps well 2 put on. 2 attach 2 fuel pump run line thru that guide then put clamp on leave it back a little. put hose on with needle noses. clamps with good pliers. used 1/8"-3.2m.m. of same type for oil. not sure on clamp size check at hard. store. line conforms to sae 30r7 specs. have not looked that up. think it is o.k.

What opsled means is Yamaha oem or nothing. Ive been there, done that.
The OEM line is far superior IMO. Had too many issues with poly line no matter what color. The closest I have found bulk is offered by Motion Pro.
