I've decided to go with a 9830H track which is the predrilled 144 down the center pattern on my 04 Viper-S. I already had bought the 1180 Hornets for the 1.25" Ripsaw track and was wondering if I could use those instead of buying more studs? They stick 1/2" above the lug when installed. The tunnel and heat echanger guards are 1" so I was thinking that this may be ok? Don't snocross racers run studs that extend about 1/2" above the lug?

keyword phrase there is snocross racers. All they care about is maxximum penetration, not whether the studs rip out or bend or anything. 1/2 inch penetration is too much for trail riding, unless you are always on perfect snow conditions where you KNOW you will never catch anything, and you know that you wont be spinning your track at all. I would definately go with a shorter stud.

ViperSniper, IT is a little late now but for that track we could have saved you a 20 in your pocket.
