First ride of the season finally...found out one of the areas close by is holding snow better than I thought, has about 6' at the snow stake. That's about the point that it starts covering the stumps and brush pretty well so you can do some boon-docking and hill-climbing.
Going with a friend of a friend type deal, my regular group can't go. Guy I'm going with is taking his friend's 17 year old son with him, first time the kid has ever got to snowmobile. Love seeing new people introduced to it, so really looking forward to going.
At 38 years old I'm still like a kid at Christmas when it comes to the first ride...been wide awake since 3am this morning, finally said the heck with it and got up at 5am, lol.

Had a good ride, other than the Poo not making it out of the parking lot. Owner neglect, he put Stabil in it last year and hadn't even started it to make sure the carbs were ok. They ended up riding double on a 580 Cat. Saw about 5 other sleds come in at the end of the day on a rope....none of them were blue
Guy parked right next to us had a 670 Summit that lost the crank seal and took out a cylinder. But all in all a good ride, no people were injured.
