I'm trying to adjust the preload on the rear skid of my 96. Obviously I don't have a spanner wrench to do it and I don't know the size.
Any help out there?

A large pair of channel lock pliers will work.

I remove the shock and use a pipe wrench. Takes less than 5 minutes. I use a large screwdriver or long socket extension thru one end of the shock to keep it from spinning. Hope this helps

Do you drop the skid to do it? How is there enough clearance to do that?

On my 94 VMAX I just lay on a peice of cardboard next to sled and remove shock only. I did prop up rear of sled. It is pretty easy on this sled.

I've heard that you can, but the 96 xt already has it. 96 was the cross over year. The xt has the tss front but a proaction rear as stock equipment.
