So I've got the itch for another project. I don't want to spend a lot of money, but I thought it would be nice to have a second ATV so the wife can go riding with me. I was kind of thinking she can ride my Rincon and I would buy a cheap Blaster for screwing around on.
Anybody know anything about them? It looks like they are pretty affordable, but I don't know if they are more child's toys being only 200 cc's and having a fairly small frame. I've been doing a little research on Blasterforum but thought someone here may have valuable input as well?

i am in the same boat. the girlfriend has a wheeler and i dont. im looking at banshee's. i figure i ride an srx i might aswell ride a banshee.

Yep, Banshee's are nice. Liquid cooled twins with better suspension, and maybe wheel base, etc. But you pay for it.
I'm looking to keep my investment less than $1000 and I'd like to spend about half that for one 2003 or newer that needs a top end or something. They are around, I just need to get a little more serious about it. I assume as it gets closer to spring there will be more on the market too. There is one in Wausau that piqued my interest, but that's about a 4 hour drive for me. Pulling a trailer, I'd spend almost as much in gas going to pick it up as I would rebuilding the engine. Maybe we'd make a weekend mini vacation of it.

I ride a viper so I just hope a Blaster is going to keep my interest on the fire roads and such.
I'd even consider making a trip to Hurley or Hayward or something like that. I think Wisconsin has a pretty good ATV trail system.

ive been looking on craigslist for months, couple decent looking shees for 1500-2000. ive thought about a blaster but im 6'2" so im not sure if it would fit me.

If ur a midget a blaster would be good for you. More of a teenage wheeler in my opinion. There quick but think you get bored quick. Not much top end. Save your pennies n get a raptor 660.

I have had Banshees, and a yfz 450 and my brother found a blaster last year for cheap so I had a chance to ride one of those for about 3 minutes until it got boring. They are way too small in every way, in my opinion. I have friends that are very happy with their raptors and they seem to have very good power and stability. You can find them used starting at around $1500 that I have seen. Just seems like anything you spend has to be worth it and the blaster, no matter the cost I think will let you down, unless you are young.

I had an old Warrior a while back that I picked up for $400, for the money they're a pretty good trail wheeler. They have reverse, which is really nice.
