94 Vmax 500 reverse install

I picked up a complete reverse setup from a 96 vmax 600 and am trying to install it in my sled is there anything special that I need to do to install it. I took my old chain case off but when I try to install the one from the 600 the shaft on the track drive gears is not long enough.

Is the jackshaft on the 96 vmax 600 shorter than the 2 piece jackshaft on the 94 vmax 500?

Looks like the 94 to 96 parts need a little mod to work. Look up snowdad, i think he helped me with some info on this but its been a while.

The Jack shaft is different. i don't recall which is the two-piece if its my 96 or my dads 94 but one is you will probably need to change the jack shaft to that of the one from the 96.

Yeah pretty sad not enough snow to ride for me yet and its Feb. could have went upnorth once but thats it Good luck if you need some pics i can lift the hood on the 96 and get you some.
