Hi, I was wondering if anybody else was experiencing this. My Venture seems to Rev very high but is not very quick at all. I know that it is not a speed demon by any means, but I have trouble getting 120kph out of it on a hard packed river. The thing is, it seems to rev very high 9-10,000 from about 1/2 throttle on. Could this be fixed by a clutch adjustment. I noticed a bunch of notches and numbers on the secondary. Is it as simple as changing the position? Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

time to check the clutches make sure every thing is tight and clean make sure that a roller has not stuck on you verify all of the settings with the owners manual the triple 600s like to rev to about 8800 but nothing higher
i'm wondering if you had fixed this problem, as i have the exact same issue. It used to get up to 90mph but now it's hard to get over 80 and reving at 10k WOT. Tried new belt, cleaned up everything, took apart secondary cleaned any belt dust. The primary weights moving freely so running out of ideas before trying to add clutch weight
If you aren't familiar with clutches, get a knowledgeable guy to look over them. Likely, they will need both cleaning and more weight. Also check for worn buttons in the secondary, that might also cause high rpm.
