OK, i have a yamaha sxr500 and was wondering how to install a sno stuff skid plate? they gave my rivets and points were to drill on the plate but what about the rear mettle plate neer the track? i know i will have to drill that but is the any thing be hind that i should be worried about? it looks very similar to the ultra 2 skid plate(if it helps?)

Not sure about whats behind where on the 500 as I have never owned one. Cheap/quick trick for limiting penetration of drill bit is to buy the collar deal. Slides over bit with allen head to adjust penetration depth. Or you can pick up some small pvc or metal tubing (like trans or break line) cut tubbing 1/4 or an 1/8 shorter than bit. Slide tubing over bit and drill away. ALOT better odds of not damaging anything with a lil bit of bit versus 2-3 inches worth.
