does the "t" on my new yamaha piston rings mean that side UP ????

Here's one for ya, I just installed new rings on my SRX and 2 of the sets came in newer style boxes and had the "t". The other came in an older style box and had no markings on it except a little red mark on the top ring on all sides. Anybody else seen this?

I haven't .All 3 rings sets I got when I rebuilt the SRX top end were all stamped with T on 1 side..You sure it was the right ring..part # the same..
