Hello guys . I just finished putting my srx back together with a set of wiseco pro lite pistons. They have that dull gray coating on the crowns and it seems to. Be makeing it difficult to read the piston wash. I've got 2 decent rides on...you can finally start to see a washed area between the transfers and exhaust ports, and a little bit on intake side ... But what puzzles me is how shiny black it always is . Normally I'd say it's a bit lean still but I'm wondering if I have the oil cable to rich and its screwing up my wash? Is this possible ? If it was to lean wouldnt it be a Matt black ? Any ideas would be great. My oil cable is a couple mm richer than oem spec. Also sled us ported 152.5 and 2 150 mains and 45 pilots gutted air box head mod etc

NOTHING SHOULD BE GREY ANDY. THATS LEAN. PISTON STILL LOOKS NEW, THATS RICH, PISTON IS BLACK ON TOP AND GOES TO COFFEE AT THE EDGE THATs RIGHT ON. PRETTY SIMPLE. 3:16 (yammie tony)

I checked out that link ... It was helpfull ..I think it's shaping up good now it most closely resembles that top ideal phot .. Just the edges arnt real defined yet. I'm running she'll 91 with klots octane boost ( not sure if that s good ..) and just regular 2 s yamaha oil

I checked the photos and it looks similar to ideal but not as well definened yet and alot wet er .. I'm runnin 91 shell and klots octane boost and Yamaha 2s oil oil cable is at 19 mm right now instead of stock 21

Put a few more miles on it seems good ! Would ther be any benifit to mixing c12 or something with pump fuel in my case for a little extra security ? Any know like the klots octane boost or is it junk ? That's what I been runnin with 91
