I'm new to this site and just picked up a blown up 1996 Phazer SS for $100. I also have a 1986 Phazer that runs great with an aaen pipe in it. I wanted the newer wider chassis so I swithed everything over. The question I have is with the clutching, as the newer sled has the newer secondary and primary. Does anyone know what will have to be done to get the newer clutches to run right with the pipe. On my older clutches the only thing I did was switch to a stiffer primary spring a purple one because it has a comet and that worked great. I'm thinking I just need to find a Yamaha primary spring for the clutch to get the RPM right.
