i am in stalling a 2001 srx wiring harness in a 2000 srx. found that the ignition switch plugs are different. wondering if i can pin it and just match the wire colours up. the only thing is there is more wires on the igntion switch that the harness.
I think it will work if you change the plugs, remove terminals and put into plug that goes to 01 harness, your not going to use the yellow/red wire and not going to use the yellow/black wire off key switch.
yellow/red wire went to thumb warmer
yellow/ black went to the cdi
yellow/red wire went to thumb warmer
yellow/ black went to the cdi
