Hi guys my name is steve . I have a 98 srx 600 when i got it it was in boxes. So i've been working on it for 3 years . I have been a member for about a year and i have learned alot reading all the diffrent posts. This is an awsome site. So im finally ready to ride. after going through every nut and bolt .new track doo skid , long travel front, rebuilt top end, fixed power valves. now my question is i tested the power valve servo on the bench with a battery it seemed to work fine installed it on the sled brought RPMs down to 900 still seems to be working fine so i set valves to spec . my problem is the sled runs great pulls hard all way to 80 mph and still is pulling but i get the 7 flash code for the servo . what could the problem be ? A glitch in the cdi or a bad servo not working at wot.

my rookie mistake was when i backed off adjusters i adjusted to spec without pulling on the cable housing .. i learned just because you back the adjusters off it doesnt give you a proper reading if you can slide your cable still without pulling on pv.. make sure you didnt adjust without pulling cable slack up.. i was beginning to think the 7 flashes was letting me know i was going fast...

You will always be going to fast. Enjoy all your hard work. Take it slow until you get everything sorted.

there is a tool you can build that will allow you to setup the PVs without having to run the engine.

It plugs into the lead for the servo and uses a battery to provide power to it.
You would adjust the cables until the PVs dont wiggle anymore.

I tried to find a post that give instructions on how to build the tool but I am unable.

Maybe someone can help with instructions.
