I found a MM with an SLP 800 kit on it. I don't know anything these from SLP. I used to have Bender's 800 on one of my sleds years ago and absolutely loved it. Can anyone tell me how SLP's compares? Is it any good, or should I steer away from it? Thanks for your time.

slp has always been top notch to deal with as well as having excellent parts and customer service. they pretty much went away from the yamaha scene years back as far as engine mods although they still hang desirable with the pipe department. there should still be a few of the original machine guys there to assist you. give them a call with any concerns. i have yet to get any run around from the slp guys, hard to say that about bender.

Slp 800

I run one and have for the last 12 years. Tried a bunch of different combos with it (more compression, boost bootle, bigger carbs, coated pistons, delta force reeds and peak head just to name a few). Any issues ive had have been my fault, ie to much compression at lower elevation for the fuel. Parts arnt cheap though...

I see they run different pipes for the 800 compared to their 700 kit. What RPM do they run? How much HP do they claim with their set up? Stock cylinders with sleeves?
