I am officially hanging up the helmet for this season. I have only put 10 miles on the SRX and the trails were horrible with no snow. Unless we get a huge dumping of snow (2'+), my sled will stay in the shed for the rest of the winter. I'll still be around here though.

That is more than me... Neither of my sleds has left the trailer, and I doubt either will. I'm probably going to summerize them soon. (never should have even started them, left them summerized from the previous year!)

I think there's about 40kms on my SRX so far this year put on between me and my 14 year old son going up and down a cove of a local lake. This is by far the worst year for sledding in about 15 that I can think of.I'm hoping that we may be able to put a few miles on this weekend if the weather holds out.We got a pretty good dumping of snow over the weekend and the forecast is calling for some more this Friday but it's also supposed to be like 5*C tomorrow so I'm sure there will be some settling of the white gold we have now.
I just cant believe that the weather this year.We had some snow early on in Janurary but then it rained it all off. That was the pettern so far this winter, snow then rain.

fourbarrel..you have more snow then we ever got..you should have hundreds of miles on by now.We got like 2 cm's of snow in 3 months.Today it is 3 C and snow slowly going..what we do have..lol and that is nothing..River is the only place to ride, but to get there is getting tougher.Hoping for one more run with the SRX and that may be it...some 100 ish miles so far..last year has over 1300 miles on the SRX and about the same on the 600..totally out of wavk this time and saved about $1500 in gas..which is good because I am broke,,,lol

I managed 38 then the bars broke and smacked a tree. Was a great first and only ride. So glad I got back into this sport after a two year hiatus. Anyway sled back together waiting for snow. Gotta finally admit havnt seen a winter like this. Usually get at least 4wks of riding. Crazy *** s**t yo. Like I said before will snow in march and april when we want it to get nice.

Getting all this snow is great as long as it sticks around for the weekends so I can get out on it.I work days and it's such a pain to try and put a few miles on after work in the evenings, loading the sled onto the truck driving to an area where there IS rideable snow even though we have some right here now we desperately need more.bluemonster1 said:fourbarrel..you have more snow then we ever got..you should have hundreds of miles on by now.We got like 2 cm's of snow in 3 months.Today it is 3 C and snow slowly going..what we do have..lol and that is nothing..River is the only place to ride, but to get there is getting tougher.Hoping for one more run with the SRX and that may be it...some 100 ish miles so far..last year has over 1300 miles on the SRX and about the same on the 600..totally out of wavk this time and saved about $1500 in gas..which is good because I am broke,,,lol

like the Climate people are saying, this may be the trend for many years to come, the Weather has shifted and place that never get snow will.Look at Arizona ..they just got snow..What is up with that I ask????It is basically over for us according to the Weather Specialists(love that name)getting paid to tell us things that don't ever come thru..again WHY I ask??Tons of sleds will be up for sale for sure going into next season.I wander what the Dealers will be thinking come next season when this season was hard on them..I would think in the future there will only be enough business for like 2 Brand Name sleds,as sales drop and prices go up..someone has to take the hit..it can't go on like this for ever and price of fuel WILL dictate what will happen to the industry.Prices will have to come back down like car prices have.back to the $4000 to $5000 range.Forget these $15,000 plus prices..they are pricing themselves out of the market.Lack of snow has put an impact on many bussiness's and people will have to adapt to it.Example:my cousin hasn't made a dime on snow clearing this winter..now that hurts his cash flow...

Blue, these are the same weather "specialists" told us we were in for a colder ans snowier winter last summer... I prefer to call them Chicken Littles. If I recall the Dust Bowl of the 30s was created by a long term El Nino with oclusions like we are seeing with our La Nina this winter. It had nothing to do with Global climate change, even though, poor agriculture policy worsened it. 30 yrs ago the Chicken Littles were warning us of another coming ice age...
