even if the part number are different??? part number for viper are begin by 8dw and for mm it is 89j ....
what gearing are you suggest to do powder with a 136''x1.25 (probably 2 inch next year) ?

part numbers are different because the gears and chain are different. as a set, they will interchange(gears and chain). you cannot use the gears from one and the chain from the other, all parts must be changed as a set.
the viper uses a "hyvo" gear and chain, the mtn max are rexnord.
shoot for 20/40 minimum depending on your driver size, or any combo that yields better than 2:1 factoring in the drivers(8t or 9t) to get the most out of off trail adventures.
