Went for a serious ride from Dillon Cove to Dorset and back this past weekend; 160 miles one way!

We stopped in a few spots for lunch and dinner and 2/3 of us got really sick vomiting and such on Sunday night. We ate the most in Dwight, just wondering if anyone else happened to be out there and get sick.

Old blue held up well and beat a 2006 F7 hands down.

Just be glad it was that mild! I was lucky enough to be on the receiving end of two very serious cases of food poisoning, almost a year to the day apart. I was out from work a solid week, I didn't have the energy to move more than about 10 steps at a time. It was coming out both ends every 15 minutes, for 2 days straight. (and I do mean straight through, didn't sleep that entire time...) In retrospect, I was actually much, much closer to dying than I realized at the time! People get so dehydrated that their heart just quits beating...

The restaurant should be reported. Thats terrible experience even amplified by affecting your ability to ride. Who knows how many more individuals were affected not part of your group.

Could be just the flu as it is going around so it seems.John you still alive....

.

2/3's got that sick. Oh maybe they were serving the flue and didn't charge them for it. A free bonus for stopping in thanking sledders for their business. Well if they had a server ill will the flue thats a really big issue in itself.

They'll know where not to stop the next time. Hit the trottle and head down the trail for a safe place to eat.

some of your guys should of gone to the Emergency and had a report on it.If there was food poisoning, someone has to report them and quick because it may keep happening to others..someone could even lose their life over it...do not take it lightly...at least get the Health Inspectors in there. I wouldn't want that to happen to me..

There is less and less places to stop now, the place closed in dorset next to the water crossing!!Owners walked out so i hear ,the lack of sledders did them in.Piss poor year for sledding means no tourist money to pay the bills.Thing is the trails are good in dorset right now but people wont book a week off if we keep getting warm days thrown in.I heard some brand of burgers are being recalled for ecoli so sometimes its just bad luck were you eat.John..........

Well for that area packing sandwiches and juice is what you may have to do. I've done it before (pop is a no no) due to the shaking. The good snowmobiling seems to start around Dorset. I have been watching the trail conditions on the maps and further south is a mix of closed and limited with some opened. I much further south and looked up around Madoc and Manora last week and they've had nothing for a long time. I just got 5 inches on bare grass yesterday and took a test ride but its no where near enough. At this rate my insurance and pass won't even yield one ride this year.

I hear ya parked the sleds and stuck my seat warmer in a snowplow/salter this year!Baysville has a good burgerbarn you can sled to and deerhurst is probably the nicest in the area.I want to buy a cottage that will have snow for atleast 3 or 4 months of the year.I think dorset area but maybie frenchriver area would be better?
