Have had an issue with my 01 srx popping under load...usually half to full throttle. I changed the gas, cleaned the carbs, cleaned the feul pump, new spark plugs. It's still doing it. I can cruise all day long with very little missing and popping, but as soon as I get on the gas it starts to miss. The crazy thing is that it doesn't do it all the time. 50% of the time it gulls skis and goes......other times it sputters coming out of a corner. I'm running out of ideas. The sled is stock, normal temps around 20.
I would consider looking at the TPS setup. It's mounted to the left side of the carb bank and there's some checks you can do on it to make sure it's set up right. Search for it in the tech section and there should be a few posts that talk about it. The procedure is also in the maintenance manual.

I was thinking spark plug cap too...I will change them out tomorrow
Changed caps....not the problem, changed fuel lines and headed out to test.........we shall see
just an idea but did you do the "rubbed harness update". I just fixed a polaris 500 xc that had rubbed out wire by the stator cleaned up all the issues that was named by the owner
Dunno if it would make a difference, someone will. Compression is good?
