i started working on a 02 viper thats been sitting for a while. went thru the carbs, all the float seats were stuck , one if the little springs that holds it to the float was gone, otherwise not too dirty. when i started it up it went to 3000rpm and has no throttle response. do you think the seals are out. what should i look for. one busted motor mount cracked header and exhaust pipe. lots to fix at once. sure hope i dont have to pull motor out. what do you guys think? thanks alot awsome site
i loosened up the throttle cable and got it to idle down but now it backfires on the middle cylinder. newbe at this!dont know what to look for. pipes are cracked , so no or little backpressure. thanks guys

For starters, I wouldn't run it without repairing the exhaust. Probably going to burn the motor down by running it.
