How to adjust preload on the rear shock

Anyone know a way to adjust the rear shock preload with the suspension left in the sled....

Thanx

sometimes if you loosen the locks, you can use a strap wrench to rotate the spring.
I have found it easier to just pull the bolts and take it out.

X2 i have to take the shock out at times when the spring wont twist from dirt, stuck, whatever. very easy in and out without removing skid.

Screwdriver works but its easy to chew up the notches on the rings then its a pain to adjust down the road, I only use that method when locking the 2 rings together, or unlocking them (only takes 1 or 2 taps). I also usually take the shock out.
if threads are clean and suspension in the air i can usually twist it by hand to adjust.
