Srx Vs. Rx1/rs

my dad has the silver edition rx1 2003 with some mods, (K&N filters, clutching, ripsaw, nitrous, engine work) when my dad does not use the nitrous I can take him the entire race no problem. I take him out of the whole and mid range I destroy him, but havent done a all out top end race with him yet, I am so far ahead by a 1/4 I just let off. The rx1 is not slow, but my srx can take it.
 
I had a stock 02 srx and my buddy has a stock 03 rx1 and I hate to admit it but he would walk by me everytime and just keep going on the top end....Now that I have done some work to the srx He can't beat me anymore....
