I got a 98 srx 700 that I always ran Yamalube with it but I would have to clean my powervalves about 3 times a season. So one of my friends to me to try AMSOIL so I did but it seems alot thinner. My powervalves are nice and clean but i pass lots of oil through my exhaust when it idles or at startup. Just wondering if anyone can help not sure if i should go back to yamalube or if its a possible engine or gasket problem.
Thanks

With Amsoil you can run a leaner mixture.
Did you check your oil cable setting?
Also how much oil to gas ratio are you at?

First thing I would do is check oil pump, make sure it is set correctly, alot of posts on how to do this. I have run nothing but Yamalube in mine since new, clean my valves every 4/5 thousand, always clean with minimal build up.
