ya im not sure im just guessing that is an advant edge because it look exactly like the pics ive been checkin out but there is only a little 6 with a line over top on the bottom of the helix and i just tryed my heavy hitter at 49 grams wich is almost 2 grams less then stock and still only like 8200-8300 so possibly a weak motor and im trying to compensate for other problems by doing clutching i dunno this thing has been nothing but problems since i bought it its reading 120 psi across the board on the compression test ,im getting so fed up its unreal im im new to srx's so kinda lost.

Are the power valves actually working?
Mine only pulls 8,300 RPMS. Is that really that bad? RPM gauge correct?

Could be lots of stuff. As simple as weak stator or as bad as crank bearings on their way out. What kind of mileage on it?

easy check, put stock 47 helix back in and retest, if its low on rpm you now have a problem to look for.

i will try the straight 47 and see and the sled has a little over 15 000 kms

taking the heavy hitters out at 49grams and putting the stock 8dn-20s in and stock helix and gonna go test it but does any one think it could be a possible weak motor or rings or crank bearing or anything motor related ive tryed so many different clutch setups it unreal any i appreciate everyones help hope to figure this out before the rocky radar runs.

Travis, put everything back to stock and test it. Nobody will be able to help you if you don't even know the details of your setup. Start with the basics. If u still can't get it figured out, I'll have some time to look at it later next week.

maybe its time to rebuild the clutch's.binding issue may be going on.Have you tried the black marker trick on the primary sheave to see how high your belt is going. At least you will be able to see if it is shifting out all the way..Another thing ..what shape are the drive and jackshaft bearings??? Then check your track tension..is it to tight???Many things to look at and teh PV's as well should be checked over.

with stock clutching..3.6 inner and 4.5 outer rivets..you should be over revving as they all did from factory. The fix would be replacing the 3.6 with a 4.5 rivet....but the you may be lowering rpm's again..something is not right here.

take powervalve servo cover off, and then turn down idle screw to under 900rpm, the servo will open all the way up. shut it off and see if theres tension on all 3 cables, sounds like the pv's are pulled thru with that 7900-8000rpm.

did this act this way since you installed the new power valves???? Or did it gradually get this way after so many miles of riding???t-rav said:ok guys ive got a 2000 srx 700 that has brand new powervalves properly adjusted

the powervalves are brand new i neve really payed to much attention after they were installed but in the last little whilr ive been noticing power loss actually every since i bought it didnt run all that great but the power valves were done by a guy on here that knows his srxs very well so im assuming those arent my problem but i may be wrong there is not to much play in my clutch bushings either like barely any and all the bearing are brand new just replaced them like 3 weeks ago. this here guys has me baffled.

Maybe your reeds? I was going to say maybe your powervalves were put in upside down but if an experienced guy did it that shouldn't be it

take the servo cover off and push each cable with your finger, the line should be easy to push, letting you know that they are moving when it springs back.Start the motor and see if the servo cycles as well to let you know they work.Hit the choke just enough to drop rpm down and see if the servo works also
