I surprised my daughter Sun morning with a new sled. I figure she'd get a kick out of it, but I didn't think her reaction would be like this. We didn't have any snow to try it out (however we just got hit with snow) Maybe sometime this weekend we'll get over to the local sledding hill and try it out. I have always wanted one of those steering sleds as a kid......My wife (aka "The Unfun Police") said she won't have anything to do with it as she thinks it is going to be dangerous.
After tearing down the hill on that, might actually be able to get her out with dad on the trails a bit too.

Saturday was a full "family" day so Sunday we had the chance to take her sled out to the hill in the morning. It was a great time.
After lunch, her and I decided to head across the river to Big Lake and visit shadetree powersports and look at some helmets. Walked out with a new CKX youth helmet and a baclava.
We finally got to spend some "father/daughter" time on the sled. We didn't set any land speed records but I got her out for her first snowmobile ride. She did real well, and we were able to put on about 12 miles. She had an absolute blast!
Attached a picture of our "departure".
