I was on my first ride of the season the other day and while riding I hit the brake for a corner and the sleds RPM's dropped down to around 3,000 and would not move till I let them get back down to 1,800. After that this initial time it began happening more and more frequently. I noticed the DCS light come on once or twice which happens from time to time. I have taken a look at it and I noticed the Exhaust is leaking pretty bad from 1 cylinder and my power valve cables got a little squished from my pipes. Either of these possibly the culprit? Oh yeah I did clean the carbs and changed fuel filter also.

its your TORS.Lets you only go to around 3000 rpms and cuts down..every time. You throttle cable is probably to tight.needs adjustment.
X2 TORS / throttle free play
However, if I were you I would inspect why you're exhaust is leaking so much. I had an exhaust leak (between the exhaust port and the manifold) which caused a burn down. I did get the DCS once or twice then all of a sudden one day that cylinder went.
You're DCS will retard your ignition by 3 degrees then if that doesn't work it will retard it by 6 degrees which is limp home mode.
I think you have two things going on.
1st - lack of throttle free-play causing your TORS to go off.
2nd- either bad gas or running slightly too lean.
Have you done plug checks? If you have and they are ok then I would try some higher octane fuel / and some octane booster on a trip to see if the DCS light comes on at all.

When installed the new fuel filter I drained all the gas and put new 91 in. I don't really understand how to adjust the TORS really. I will also take a look at the gasket on the exhaust port manifold. While I have the pipes out Im going to wrap them.

you don't adjust the TORS..you adjust your throttle cable so it isn't tight. If it remains tight, the TORS will always come on and drop the rpm's.
I agree you likely have a tors issue.
You probably have a power valve issue as well. I find that when you start to get a lot of black ooze around the cylinder power valve cable and exhaust its a good sign of a stuck or pulled thru power valve.
With the cables being squished by the pipes you shud make sure everything is clean/free/adjusted and working as it shud.

hey ron, it's inside the tank. and yamaha was stingy with the hose length. barely enough to fish it out the filler neck.

1) On a long run, a stuck powervalve will more than likely cause the dcs to flash. Been there, done that.
2) A leaky exhaust will for sure cause that, been there done that. The muffler mounting (where you bolt it to the frame) was broken and the dcs would flash when going over bumps at speed. Fix these things up and try again. Trust me, I've been through this.
