Was at the sled races in Beausejour MB today. On the way home I hit the ditch hard. Bent my left side (PTO side) trailing arm. The two control arms also bent, along with the bottom of my Ohlins shock (snapped the bottom right off). In my attempt to stay on the machine I also broke my throttle lever. I wonder if I can fix the Ohlins?, any suggestions would be appreciated. I am also wondering if any one has these parts for sale. Thanks.

what have you done..got to slow down.A friend of ours was around the 59er last week and nailed a culvert at over 60mph..ripped his Doo apart..some parts stayed in the culvert and the rest of the sled and he went flying another 60 feet.Slip his helmet in 2 pieces. In the hospital for a short visit..just a little cut on top of his head..he has now officially switched over to a Yamaha Nytro..2011 model..he will have it nest Friday...
How did you hit the ditch..was it a big jump off a driveway or something and came down on one side only...man sledding is not a cheap sport anymore..always fixing something.I don't have any of them parts you are looking for..I am sure someone will chime in on this and help out.Take it easy next time. How were the races today????I have never been to them yet myself..maybe one year ...

Very common parts. Should be up and running soon. I am not sure about a single Ohlins shock though, you might be buying a set as people usually sell as a set.
You could have shock sent out for rebuild but it will take even longer, Find a cheap set of KYB's laying around so you can ride, get the Ohlins repaired or buy another set later.

hey Paul..season might be over after next week I would say..Will be warming up here.Basically all above 0 C after March 8 and into 8 C days ..so order your parts new or take the time to search for parts I guess.I should have the front shocks from my SRX here since I switched to ohlins..
i have everything you need to fix except trailing arm....the ohlin i have has been repaired cause the top shaft cracked like yours had it straightened and welded ...150 for the pair ...the 2 radius rods 20 bucks....throttle lever free ...just let me know got to raise money for a new transmission in the car ....
I have a good trailing arm. its been a while since I looked at it but I'm pretty sure its in great shape, not dented or bowed. Came off a 98 so the sticker will even match. How does 75.00 plus whatever actual shipping costs sound? Pm m if you're interested.

Know the feeling, following my buddy on saturday, i seen him hit a nasty vertical crossing. Think i was on the brake , went 10 feet straight op and nosed it. handlebar risers folded and handgaurds went on the sides of both clusters. ended up bruising my pride, but came back to life later after stomping on a 03 rmk 700 and 04 800rmk. imight have holes in my dashpods, but they have to live with being stomped by ole 98 srx 700!
ok here is a picture of the ohlins you can see were the shaft was welded at the very to cause it cracked a little bit ...the weld never comes close to passing the seal so it was never a problem sent you a pm just let me know i can ship them in the morning
