I just put mu 2002 Blur Viper up for sale, but last night I was talking with my girlfriend and she likes my Viper more than her Venom since its cleaner, less miles, etc.
Just wondering would I be able to use the electric start and reverse from the 2004 Venom ER on the 2002 SXViper? If possible I would suspect she would also like the updated grip controls/gauge pod etc.. The only downside there is the Venom shows like 6000 miles, and my Viper only 4000, so I would hate to add 2000 miles to the odometer.
Long story short do all those parts cross over?

E-start and reverse will for sure, pretty much plug and play. Just check gearing in venom, not sure what it is off top of my head. Not sure about controls, does the venom use the newer RX-1 style controls? If so i think it has to be a complete swap for them to work. I/E harness, cdi, ect....

Yes the venom has new style with buttons. Viper has the
Srx style with twisty knobs.

The gearing is different between the 2. The Venom has a 39T bottom, and the Viper has a 38T bottom gear. Electric start will bolt up and plug in. Remember, the reverse bottom gears are different than the non-reverse bottom gears.
