Does anyone know how the handwarmers are controlled on a 2004 and up viper with the controls on the handle bars? Are these controlled with the cdi or is it done in the gauge itself? Looking to put these newer controls on my srx as I already have a viper gauge to go on it.

You will need the CDI,harness and gauge from an 04 Viper to make that work

That's what I was afraid of, I guess no fancy handwarmers for me. I don't think it would be smart to run the viper cdi on a trail srx.

not to high jack your thread, but the plugs on the an apex tach are the same as a viper's, however when i plugged it in the guage did not work, didn't even light up or anything. the plug ends fit the same (i do no know if the individual prongs are the same) and the mount holes are the same so they mount up the same, i would be awesome to use an apex guage on an old two stroke. i'm not electrically inclined enough to figure out the wiring haha

That would be awesome to use an apex gauge they look sweet. Although I kind of like the 2004 viper gauge because it has the dcs light built in. Even the viper gauge is not a direct plug in on my srx so I'll have to figure that out over the summer. The plugs that run down the hood are different so that's where the problem is.
